Started FIAR with the Glorious Flight- discussed the age of the story and copyright, the geography of France and England and the English Channel and found it on the globe, talked about motorcars from that era and flying machines and the evolution of the airplane, the weather in England versus France, identified the French flag, and inventors like Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas Edison and their many tries before finding out how their inventions would work
Read the Berenstain Bears and the Spooky Tree, The Search for the Perfect Child, One Morning in Maine, Anansi and the Talking Melon and Anansi and the Moss Covered Rock
Watched Jeff Corwin DVD about Florida and its reptiles and other wildlife

Saturday April 30

Visited a you-pick blueberry farm and picked blueberries while Justin captured bugs
Went to the farmers market
Visited the Winter Garden Railroad Museum and talked to the members of the Florida Morse Code club, Elle learned to tap her name in morse code, learned what it was used for, and heard it being used to communicate with others around the country and in Canada, and explored the museum
